Shannon has been dedicated to supporting young people and women through counseling since 2008. She earned her Masters in Counseling from Regent University in 2007 and a Bachelors of Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 2004. Prior to co-founding Desert Bloom Haven with one of her dearest friends, Shannon gained valuable experience in community mental health, the non-profit sector, and within a school environment. She considers it a profound honor to be trusted to walk with others through their most challenging and vulnerable moments, as well as to celebrate their greatest joys.
Having navigated her own challenges, Shannon is deeply committed to helping others understand how their past life experiences shape their relationships—with others, with themselves, and with God. She aims to empower her clients by helping them uncover the tools within themselves to courageously cultivate self-care and live a vibrant, wholehearted life.
Her counseling approach is highly relational, integrative and holistic in nature. Shannon draws from Attachment Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems, trauma trained, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, among others. Shannon’s practice is rooted in her belief that true healing and growth come through authentic relationships with self, others and God. When Shannon is not bearing witness to others joys and tragedies, you can find her enjoying the outdoors hiking, camping or sitting by a bonfire with family and friends. Nature renews her spirit and helps her feel more connected to herself and her first love Jesus.
Shannon is a skilled therapist trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful therapeutic technique designed to help individuals access and process traumatic memories. By guiding clients through EMDR, Shannon aids in transforming these memories from states of emotional intensity to a more balanced and rational perspective. This approach not only alleviates distress but also fosters long-term healing and resilience. To find out more about EMDR, you can visit www.emdira.org.

Jill has been working in the mental health field since 2001. She earned a Masters of Counseling from Trevecca Graduate School of Psychology in 2008 and a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2001. Jill is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee with Mental Health Service Provider Designation. She is also a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider. The CIMHP credential qualifies her to look at how your unique bio-individuality may be affecting your mental health and then find holistic behavioral interventions (such as sleep habits, nutrition, supplements and movement) to help you live fully.
Her approach to therapy is integrative, meaning she implements several different theories into her practice; Affective, Cognitive and Behavioral. Jill believes in a holistic relational experiential approach to change. We are made up of our feelings, thoughts, behaviors and spiritual selves. All areas of self need to be explored with curiosity and experienced with authenticity to help find growth and healing.
Another passion of hers is to help foster growth and leadership skills for female entrepreneurs and female executive leaders through her Executive Mindset Consulting membership group. In this group, leaders in industry have the opportunity to learn more about who they are made to be so they can better do what they are made to do.
Jill has many more roles in her life than just being a therapist. She is a Christian, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister and a friend. All of these roles in her life affect how she views therapy and how she helps implement change in people’s lives. Jill believes we are harmed through relationship and we are also healed through relationship. The therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is a relationship meant to bring healing, recovery and transformation in profound ways.
